Larkindesign Project Life 2019 May Monthly ft Elles Studio Kits

Hello Lovelies and welcome back to my 2019 Project Life album series. Today I am sharing a monthly layout from the month of May, using some of my Elle’s Studio kits that have been arriving over the last few months. If you’d like to see all the process videos in this series, you can check them out here: Larkindesign Project Life 2019. Some of the 2019 album also appear in my class called In My Pocket Volume 02! Have a look at my process video here.

So my Elle’s Studio kits have been *ahem* piling up a little, and what I do in that situation is just take everything out and put all the cards together, all the stamps together, stickers together, and so on and so forth and then I create a couple of layouts with the combined kit. This gives me some really fun options and helps me use of products! I did have to go back a little in my album because I figured out I had a gap for May. We went to the beach in May, and that layout is already completed, but I still had all of these photos from throughout the month. I love having a place for them in these pocket pages!

Up first is my date card, which was really easy. I used the mint lined card and added a tiny tab, layered the month with puffy alphabets, and added a tiny enamel sticker. All of my colors come from another card on the layout, the one with all the colorful pencils. I specifically pulled out green, purple, and yellow for the basis of this layout. You will also find bits of the navyĀ  blue as well.

One of our stories was so funny, especially if you aren’t superstitious. We went to McDonalds for a quick bite, and our numbers came up 666 and 13. Ha! I snapped a photo of that to include here. I also am keeping up with my commitment to take photos of myself and include them as well. It is fascinating to flip through the album and see my own face in these pages, and is entirely appropriate and wonderful! I added a simple circle die cut to my photo and then added another puffy heart on top of that.

We had hosta plants in our front flower bed, and I am here to tell you that over the summer they took over! But here they are just peeking out and starting to grow. I journaled directly onto a label for this photo. We had Mother’s Day that month, of course, and I had beautiful flowers from my husband to celebrate. I added a simple washi strip to that navy journal card as a nod to this quiet holiday.

We had lunch at our favorite pizza hang out as well. This place has a pretty cool patio and I love when the weather gets nice enough to sit out there. Definitely photo-worthy! Another label to include quick journaling as well.

The second side was just as fun! It seems to happen a lot these days that I have a visitor in my studio by the name of Natalie. In this photo she is cuddling with the cat and catching me up on her day. These are precious moments to me.

A really big milestone was the 8th grade awards ceremony for Emberlynn! We attended the ceremony and so I included a photo of the entire class, plus the one of her with her best friend. We could not be more proud of her!

I added the blue word strip to the class photo as another way to repeat the navy in this layout.

Here is the card that was the starting point for the layout: the colorful pencils! These were from last August’s kit, and I had so much fun working with these colors. I added a few notes from the month and used my trusty old Becky Higgins line stamp for the subtle lines.

Our plate rack has appeared in previous layouts and albums as a tradition that my mom started a long time ago. She always changed out the plate rack with little bits and bobs of the season. I found the little round Kate Spade plates and layered them with other pieces from her other dinnerware collections. I also had a fun photo kissing Alan, so I added a simple half circle and journaled around that. Thanks so much for joining me today! See you again soon!
