Scrappy Christmas In July | December Daily 2018 Days 16 Through 18!!!

Hello Lovelies and welcome back to Scrappy Christmas In July! I am continuing today in my December Daily album for 2018 and will be sharing my process for Days 16, 17, and 18. If you’d like to see all the videos and posts related to this project, check out this link here: Larkindesign December Daily 2018. You can view my process video for today right here.

Let’s take a closer look at all the fun details of these pages, starting with Day 16. For this day I had photos from our annual trip to Tanglewood, a local lights show held in Bermuda Run, near Winston Salem each year. I have documented this show in different ways throughout the year, but this year was two quick photos and a journal card.

I had four 3×4 pockets to fill with this layout, so I printed one 3×4 photo and added a journal card at the top. The journal card was created with a lined paper as the background, from Felicity Jane. I stamped the All Is Bright (Paislee Press) and added the number tab at the bottom. The number tab is from Sahlin Studio, available at The Lilypad.

The bottom two pockets are one photo that I printed as a full 4×6 photo and cut in half. I didn’t add any embellishments so the photo can simply stand out on its own. So festive and pretty!

Day 17 turned out to be quite fun. I had a simple photo of our grocery list, which was printed as a vertical 4×6 photo that didn’t really fit into any pockets. So I made a little pocket from the black and white polka dot bag I had from my stash. It came from Clique Kits last year. I added a red label and the number 17 to the center of the bag, and also adhered a white snowflake at the fold.

My journaling for Day 17 came about using a tag from Ali Edwards and simply stamping the date, my journaling lines, and adding a little bit of ribbon at the tag. I am loving the simplicity.

When you flip the little bag over, Day 18 is on the facing page. I had a 4×6 pocket and two 3×4 pockets to fill on this page. My photos are more silliness with the Santa hats, this time with my husband Alan. I chose products that are more light-hearted and whimsical to use with these fun photos of us.

Crate Paper Merry Days and Falala have been favorite collections of mine, and this red and green patterned paper is my favorite of all time. I adhered my numbers, which are from Felicity Jane directly to the patterned paper. For my journaling card I used the heart patterned paper from Felicity Jane, using the hearts as my lines. I also adhered a banner from Crate Paper, and a few of the skater puffy stickers for fun!

My photos are printed on a 4×6 canvas and sized down to fit with a fun white space across the bottom. This was a fun little space to play with! I added the gold puffy stickers and a little scalloped border. I love showing the silly side of our relationship and always make a space in my albums every year to express my incredible thankfulness for this awesome husband I have! He and I both absolutely love the holidays and love doing all the activities together. The best part is having these memories documented right here.
