{December Daily 2016} December 8 & 9 and Finishing December 1!

Hi there and happy Saturday to you! I have a full blog post to share with you today so first have a look at my process video for December 8 and 8, plus finishing up the first:

So if you remember my layout for December 1, I left the left side of the layout unfinished. At the time I was wanting to share photos of the decorated house, which did not happen. Well, Alan returned from Germany and brought some awesome paper products and they fit in this spot perfectly. Here is what I added:

I absolutely love this postcard from Heidelberg. I did have to cut it down just a tiny bit in order to fit in the pocket.

The brochure from Kathe Wohlfahrt is bound into the album using clear tabs from We R Memory Keepers. I love that all the text is German!

He also had a shopping bag from the Kaufhof, which I cut down so it wasn’t quite so bulky. This is how the layout looks in the album across from December 1:

Now onto December 8 & 9! This is what this these days lookedlike as foundation pages:

December 8 is all about Natalie’s chorus performance at school. I created a flip pocket so I would have space for two photos and my journaling.

The flip is held in place via washi tape. I added this cute little wood veneer word that is from an older Basic Grey collection.

When you lift the photo you find my journaling and the second photo.

Alan brought home these beautiful embossed tags from Germany, so I added one of the trees to the top card. The chipboard 8, from the Ali Edwards main kit last year, is simply adhered to the diagonal card.

Here is the layout in the album itself:

For December 9 I wrote about Alan being back home and included a photo we took while we were leaving to go out and about for the day.

This layout has the 2×2 pockets that I have layered with transparency and embellishments, so not a lot more was needed. The photo stands on its own.

The journaling card is one from the Ali Edwards main kit from 2015, but I have recolored it from a sandy cream to this red. I love all the red that carries across this layout! I also added the wood number 9, which is from the Dear Lizzy Saturday collection.
